Everything, Everywhere, All at Once

Every New Year, the Jenks closes for 6 weeks to reinvent itself. This year, the gallery re-opened by showcasing five of its top-selling 2024 artists. Four of those five artists are Northeast Ohio women: Luanne Bole-Becker (including a 5-year retrospective of her assemblage work), Kayleigh Deeks, Tanya Hough, and Tracy Zakraysek. The fifth artist is the late Bob Tubbesing. The Middle Earth gallery will host four invitational exhibitions in 2025 (spring Feb–April; summer May– July; fall Aug–Oct; holiday Nov–Dec). The gallery is administered by two women artists, and the Jenks building is owned and led by a husband-and-wife team.

Heart and Hand

A woman artist creates with a profound connection to both her inner world and the materials she works with. Her hands, guided by the rhythm of her heart, shape each piece with intention and emotion. Whether she's molding clay, painting a canvas, or sculpting with other mediums, her work transcends technique, becoming a deeply personal expression of her thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Every stroke, every movement, is infused with a sense of passion, vulnerability, and strength. The artist’s creations are not just works of craft but reflections of her soul, revealing her unique perspective on the world around her.
